The standard

This is not a course you buy and forget.

OBM Pros is built around participation.

You will attend live sessions, complete assignments, practise difficult conversations, receive feedback, and create client-style deliverables. Every module asks you to demonstrate what you can do, not simply repeat what you heard.

The program is demanding on purpose. Operations leaders are trusted with people, priorities, systems, timelines, and business performance. That trust has to be earned through skill and consistent judgment.

What you are preparing to do

Move from dependable support to accountable leadership.

Where most experienced VAs are now

  • Waiting for the founder to set every priority
  • Becoming the backup plan for everyone
  • Doing the work instead of building the system
  • Attending meetings without leading decisions
  • Accepting unclear scope because you want to be helpful
  • Pricing based mostly on time and task volume

What you will practise

  • Turning goals into operational priorities
  • Defining ownership and decision rights
  • Building systems the team can actually follow
  • Leading projects and holding people accountable
  • Communicating recommendations with authority
  • Connecting the work to measurable outcomes
  • Packaging and pricing a management-level service

The program gives you the structure and the practice. You are responsible for doing the work and applying it professionally.

How you practise

You don't just learn the role. You run it.

From week one, every member of the cohort takes on the same simulated client: a US-based consultant running a group program and one-to-one work, with one VA, two contractors, a launch coming next quarter, and a founder drowning in her own operations.

You receive her intake questionnaire, her discovery-call brief, and her genuinely messy current state: inconsistent processes, scattered tools, no reporting. Then you do what an OBM does.

The engagement runs inside a real project management tool, at the standard TAP uses with actual clients. Your submissions at each stage are reviewed against a rubric by a working practitioner and returned with written feedback. Not a completion tick. Actual feedback on your judgment.

By the end, you are not saying you could lead operations. You are showing the work.

1

Diagnose

Read the business and find what is actually broken.

2

Build systems

Replace scattered tools with an operation people can follow.

3

Run a project

Lead it through team friction we introduce on purpose.

4

Plan the launch

Turn a next-quarter launch into a coordinated plan.

5

Report results

Show a founder what happened, and what to do next.

The learning path

Train across the full scope of the role.

Twelve weeks of live cohort, followed by twelve months of membership. Sessions are scheduled for Philippine evenings and weekends so people with day jobs can attend.

Deliverable: a client-ready professional practice setup

What an OBM owns. The mindset, boundaries, authority, and decision-making habits required to lead outcomes instead of absorbing more tasks.

Deliverable: leadership charter and role-definition one-pager

Assess recurring work, document processes people actually follow, organize the tool stack, and build an operations hub that reduces dependence on the founder.

Deliverable: systems build for the case business

Weekly operating rhythms, leading projects from scope through delivery, coordinating team ownership, improving follow-through, and supporting onboarding and offboarding.

Deliverable: 90-day operations leadership plan

Plan launch operations, coordinate marketing execution, build dashboards people use, and explain the numbers in a way that helps a founder decide what to do next.

Deliverables: launch operations plan and client-ready monthly report

Written updates, difficult messages, founder calls, proposals, money conversations, and objection handling.

Deliverables: reviewed communication portfolio and recorded mock client call

Positioning, service structure, pricing logic, the sales conversation, proposals, onboarding, and clean offboarding.

Deliverables: priced offer suite and recorded mock sales conversation

Assess a client-style operation, prepare a findings report, and present your recommendations live. The capstone may use a supervised real-client opportunity where one is appropriate and available, or an intensive simulated engagement.

A real-client practicum is not guaranteed.
The signature practice

Good ideas are not enough. You have to be able to say them.

An OBM regularly has to say things that are necessary but not comfortable.

  • The deadline is at risk.
  • The founder is creating the bottleneck.
  • A team member needs clearer accountability.
  • The requested scope does not match the agreement.
  • The numbers do not support the current plan.
  • A better approach will require a different decision.

The Communication Lab gives you repeated practice in writing updates, leading calls, presenting recommendations, discussing money, and holding professional boundaries, with feedback each time.

Clear communication matters more than sounding American. The standard is management-level clarity, judgment, and respect.

OBM Pros makes communication practice a dedicated, weekly part of the program, with repeated feedback on written updates, recommendations, money conversations, and professional boundaries. Most training assumes you already have this. We do not.

What you leave with

Build evidence of your ability.

Subject to completing the required work, you will build:

  • A leadership charter and role-definition document
  • A systems build for the case business
  • A 90-day operations leadership plan
  • A launch operations plan
  • A client-ready monthly report
  • A professional written communication portfolio
  • A recorded mock client call
  • A positioned and priced offer suite
  • A recorded mock sales conversation
  • A capstone findings report and presentation

These assignments are designed to demonstrate your thinking, not to decorate a portfolio with generic templates.

Who should apply

  • An experienced VA who already coordinates projects, people, systems, or priorities
  • A project manager serving online businesses
  • An operations professional moving out of corporate employment
  • A corporate team leader with relevant management experience
  • Someone comfortable receiving direct feedback
  • Someone able to attend live sessions and complete assignments
  • Someone ready to take responsibility for outcomes, not only tasks

Not a fit

  • Beginners still learning basic VA services
  • Anyone unable to participate in live practice
  • Anyone looking for guaranteed employment, clients, or income
  • Anyone expecting templates to replace professional judgment
  • Anyone unwilling to complete assignments
  • Anyone who wants the title without the responsibility

Admission is based on readiness.

The application is not there to make the program feel exclusive. It protects the learning experience by making sure everyone in the room has enough professional foundation to benefit from the work, and it protects you from paying for something you are not yet ready for.

Places are limited by our capacity to review work properly, not by demand.
